The ASEAN-India Free Trade Agreement (AIFTA) offers excellent business scope due to the free movement of goods, services, and capital. The AIFTA trade treaty has definitely boosted bilateral trade.
The 10 member countries (Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam) of ASEAN have a combined population of more than 600 million people.
They have their own market appeal – with a large youth population, rising disposable incomes, and fast-expanding digital economies.
ASEAN is also a growing consumer market, expected to have to 125 million households by 2025.
